Mushroom Art is temporary, public art displayed to attract people to downtown Morgan Hill, CA, provide paid opportunities for local artists, and raise funds for non-profit organizations that are named as beneficiaries of the event.  The Morgan Hill Downtown Association (MHDA), as the event producer, placed twenty-five fiberglass mushrooms throughout downtown Morgan Hill. Each mushroom is three feet tall by 30 inches in diameter, with each mushroom being sponsored by corporations, local small businesses and/or individuals.
